What's LetsWoosh?
Ever ask "what's going on around me tonight?" Let's Woosh is designed to answer that question. A location-based event search tool,
LetsWoosh grabs events from all across the web and shows you what's going down in your world - wherever that world may be.
What can of events can I find on LetsWoosh?
Basically everything. From performances by top performers like Snoop Dogg and Benny Benassi to neighborhood battle of the bands tournaments,
from Intel's Developer Conference to local tech meetups in your area, and from major art gallery showings to Zucchini food festivals (we're not making this up - we
actually went to one of these) LetsWoosh grabs events from all walks of life and all levels of scale from around the world.
And we mean around the world when we say around the world. LetsWoosh grabs events equally well - whether it's in New York City, San Francisco, Paris,
Beijing, or somewhere in the Caribbean.
What are some of the cool things I can do with LetsWoosh?
Found some cool events you and your friends want to go on? Well it's epic adventure time. Create a new adventure with a series of events and share it with
your friends on Twitter and Facebook directly through our site. Want to know if the bar hosting the 80's night downtown is legit? We have plugins with Yelp
to help you learn more about the venue. You can even see how many people are going to go to the next stop on your adventure by seeing who's checked in
there on Foursquare.
LetsWoosh wants to help you leverage your social network to make life away from a monitor more exciting.
How do I know the events on LetsWoosh are relevant to me?
We group events based off of the of event type tags and provide an extensive searching service with suggestions, so you never have to worry about getting the type
or name of the events you're looking for wrong when you've got a gameplan in mind. Furthermore, events are shown and suggested in a unique patent-pending way
that takes into account distance in terms of time as well.
With LetsWoosh you'll get what's relevant to you right now, not next week (unless you want next week - we support searches in time far into the future).
How many events are on LetsWoosh?
Lots. As of June 13th, 2011, 550,000 events have been shown, and the data just keeps coming in.
What if I'm an event host? How does LetsWoosh help me market my event to patrons and boost sales?
Unlike services like EventBrite, LetsWoosh allows you to get exposure to a large audience who may not have known about your event beforehand. Letswoosh
allows you to access a market filled with customers who're just itching to do something fun.
We partner with services like TicketMaster to seamlessly integrate with events you've already set up an online ticketing structure with. You can also directly
host an event through LetsWoosh at a very competitive price. Or, if you don't want to have online purchases and sales of your event and just want to market
through LetsWoosh, we support that too.
Just as LetsWoosh wants to help its users find fun adventures to go on in their area, we want to help you provide those adventures wherever
